In March of 2020…

Barker Room Rep began hosting a virtual play club.

Every Thursday we met online to discuss unpublished works by bold and ambitious playwrights, starting with the playscript of our upcoming mainstage production Moniece Clark by LaShea Delaney.

Over the course of several months we read and analyzed thirteen unpublished plays. To support the artists that generously shared their work with us, our play club members were asked to give weekly donations directly to the featured playwright each week.
